I'm Romi, the face and the soul behind Raw Essence.

Growing up surrounded by nature, I developed a love for herbalism. I simply loved wandering through forests and meadows in the countryside. Spending hours fascinated by different types of plants felt very natural to me. Observing the color of each plant or herb, touching its surface and inhaling its natural fragrance, became the foundation of my botanical exploration.

 My grandmother profoundly influenced me on this journey. She would forage and dry various herbs in her old attic place, filling the air with the sweet scent of dead-nettles and mullein. Each season carried its own unique aroma, connecting me to the ancestral wisdom and restorative benefits of nature itself.

As I grew older, my path intertwined with the ancient Indian medical system of Ayurveda. This alternative medicine practice reignited my passion for studying plants and herbs on a deeper level. I found comfort and support in the healing power of herbalism several times and it guided me the most through transitions.  After seeing how plants deeply nourished and revitalized my entire being, I was moved and inspired to share my journey with others.                                         

For this very reason, I founded Raw Essence to celebrate the everlasting bond between humans and nature. It is a botanical organic skincare brand rooted in ancestral wisdom, herbalism, and traditional practices.
